Edward Kelsey Moore will make three author appearances on Thursday, November 12, 2015, sponsored by Books to Bridge the Region. B2BR is a literary program active in seven of the counties in northwest Indiana. The award winning, bestselling novel, The Supremes at Earl's All-You-Can-Eat, was chosen by B2BR for their annual "one book" literacy initiative. Back in August, copies of The Supremes at Earl's were packed into many dozens of LitKits and delivered to schools and libraries in the counties of the Calumet Region by B2BR and the Northwest Indiana Literacy Coalition. Locally led book discussions on The Supremes at Earl's are taking place at libraries and schools in the seven county area throughout the autumn. The goals of Books to Bridge the Region are: to promote literacy, to create conversations among families and communities, and to foster critical thinking related to the annual theme -- this year the theme is Secrets We Keep. During the autumn months, libraries, bookstores, high schools, colleges, and universities in the region are actively encouraged by B2BR to offer programming that explores the chosen theme. Each year Books to Bridge the Region makes their book selection based on subject matter, writing quality, and reading pleasure. On Thursday, November 12th, Edward Kelsey Moore will be appearing in East Chicago, IN, Valparaiso, IN, and finish with an evening appearance in Merrillville, IN, at the Lake County Public Library. All three events are free and open to the public. For more on the Books to Bridge the Region program -- click here!
